Slave to the System: The Long-Awaited First LIVE Gig is Coming!
The Queensryche and Brother Cane vets are guaranteed to deliver an awesome performance in conjunction with cdstreet at 2002 Nashville New Music Conference.
Flying in from all over the country, fans will be queuing up to see the debut live performance by Slave to the System at the Nashville New Music Conference being held on October 9 - 13 in Tennessee. The Queensryche and Brother Cane vets are guaranteed to deliver an awesome performance in conjunction with cdstreet at the showcase. STTS will headline a Friday night, October 11 concert at The Church, (629 3rd Avenue South, Nashville), which boasts an impressive line up of indie artists. The cdstreet-sponsored gig is going to herald the live debut of this phenomenal, top selling band and word is that it will be pure, unadulterated hard rock at its finest.
Scott Rockenfield, drummer and a true musician's musician is incredibly hyped about the evening. "We are excited as Hell to get up and do this with cdstreet. None of us know what to expect; we have never played to an audience before. We hope we excite everyone enough to stick around and buy some tee shirts after our set!"
The showcase producer, Glenn Gomez of cdstreet notes "For 5 years we have done a few showcases a year and the STTS gig promises to top them all." He adds "Scott Rockenfield & Co. are consummate pros and their band clearly delivers the goods. If you are in Nashville on Friday, 10/11, man, come to this show! Gadget White from Washington DC, PlowMonday from Austin, TX and 7 Minds of the Jersey Shore will also surprise you, take my word for it."
Hoping to kick off a tour, the guys are practicing and counting the days to the Showcase. Fans are dying to see them live and are already calling in from California, New York, Florida and everywhere in between. The Slave to the System CD is still a top seller on cdstreet and the band is one of the few who consistently rates a 10 out of 10 fan response on the website. "We made the record in a friendly, happy atmosphere with no rules or boundaries holding us back," exclaims Rockenfield. "We know it will be the same way live. We are looking forward to meeting our fans and giving them a great show, a great time."
