Boulder, Colorado (September 20, 2002) -- Michael M. Conti unveiled the latest edition to his short film website today, the three minute short entitled HOLOGRAM CRACKERS starring Gideon Freudmann, a master celloist from the East Coast.
"I would like to think of CONTICONTI.COM as an inspiration to folks wanting to make their own movies but who are overwhelmed by the financial risks. Today's home PC, better video equipment and easy access to the internet are sure winners for those wanting to make their own movies," said Mr. Conti, the creative behind CONTICONTI.
The site currently presents SIX MOVIES with plans to add a short every month. Mr. Conti's most recent, HOLOGRAM CRACKERS, stars Gideon Freudmann, who is a classical musician by training; Freudmann earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cello Performance from the University of Connecticut. Since that time, he has distinguished himself as one of New Englands finest solo cross-genre cellists, performing in hundreds of venues nationwide. Filmed at a Freudmanns summer residence in the Mt. Tabor area in Portland, HOLOGRAM CRACKERS highlights Freudmanns eclectic sound and Contis unique camera and editing work.
Also on the site is YOGA that stars Raj Thron, who was initiated into classical Hatha yoga in 1974 at the age of twelve in India. Filmed in the backwoods of New Jersey, YOGA explores the unique expression of that ancient art as seen through the directors eye.
There is also the short Kung Fu thriller CHINESE MEDICINE. And WHITE NIGHT, a gothic journey into the place where dreams never end. Shot on Super8, and utilizing blue screen technology. It features the fantastic sound manipulations of Jack Atlantis, and stars Devora Polakoff, a well-known Los Angeles Goth icon.
CYBERHOOD is the most ambitious of Mr. Conti's projects as it was initially created to be an interactive movie. Written by Martin Olson, a Hollywood veteran scribe who has over 80 television shows to his credit. "We would like to think of CYBERHOOD as having the feel of a future-shock world not unlike the movie CLOCKWORK ORANGE," said Brian Fargo, president of Interplay in a previous press release.
Started in 1986, Michael Conti has dedicated himself to creating award winning artistic, entertainment and multimedia products for audiences around the world.
