SPEAKERS:
Suzanna Hupp, Texas legislator, mom and winner of the NRA Sybil Ludington Women's Freedom Award, is best remembered for having to watch in helpless horror as a deranged man shot and killed 23 people, including her parents, in a Texas cafeteria. She went on to champion and pass the Texas concealed
weapon permit laws. Suzanna will speak on using "Emotion".
David Mustard, Ph.D. Prof. of Economics at the University of Georgia wrote, with Prof. John Lott, the seminal paper "Crime, Deterrence and the Right-to-Carry Concealed Handguns". He has testified about his research before state legislatures, including South Carolina, and as an expert witness in the courtroom. David will speak on using "Reason".
Kenn Blanchard, former federal law enforcement officer, security consultant and author of "Black Man With a Gun" claims to be the USA's most audacious gun rights advocate and is the self proclaimed chief evangelist for the right to keep and bear arms. He has testified before the legislative bodies of Texas, Maryland, Virginia, Michigan and South Carolina. Kenn says, "The origins of gun control are racist. No matter where it is enforced it is used to control some group of people. It doesn't have to be you." Kenn
will speak on using "Attitude".

GrassRoots South Carolina started in Columbia in 1997. It is now a state wide organization of about 5000 concealed weapon permit holders and others who actively support the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. GrassRoots wants to double the number of concealed weapon permit holders in South Carolina by 2006. GrassRoots goal is, "Good citizens carrying arms wherever and whenever they choose." GrassRoots works to accomplish its goal by organizing its members to engage in grassroots political activism. It works. GrassRoots members got significant pro-gun changes in South Carolina signed into law in 2002. See the front page of their quarterly newspaper,
