New Indie Film Company To Hold Fundraiser For First Feature Film

Diamond Entertainment Productions will hold a fundraiser event on October, 27th. 2002 in Philadelphia for it's first feature film tentatively titled "A Diamond in the Sky".

Philadelphia, Pa. -- September 13, 2002 -- Diamond Entertainment Productions, a new independent film company in Philadelphia, is hosting a fundraiser to produce its first of many feature films tentatively titled "A Diamond In The Sky", written by Bernard Gray. "A Diamond In The Sky" is a story about love and friendship between 4 best friends and the choices and consequences they endure as they come of age.

The fundraiser will take place at Jillians in the Franklin Mills Mall. The "Diamond Masquerade" will be a Costume Party held on Sunday, October 27th 2002 from 8pm to 12am. The party will feature 2 complimentary drinks of any kind, appetizers, cash prizes in the amounts of $100, $50, and $25 for best costumes, DJ ADS from And 1, meet the Director and Cast of "A Diamond In The Sky", and those who are amongst the first 100 tickets sold will be entered into a raffle for one of three walk on parts in the film. The cost of tickets is only $50.

"We want to produce films that are real," said Gray about his new company. "We only use themes that tear down the walls of stereotypes and give alternative perspectives to modern topics. We also want to put Philadelphia on the map in the area of film production." "A Diamond in the Sky" is set to begin shooting in January 2003. Of course the film will be shot on location in Philadelphia.
