Recombo Launches Tool to Convert PowerPoint Files to eLearning

Convertor Product Line Extended with New Product Release

Vancouver, BC Canada - Recombo, the leading provider of eLearning conversion products and services,
is launching Convertor for PowerPoint today. Convertor for PowerPoint makes it fast and easy to convert your slide-based training materials into structured eLearning content in the industry standard eLearning format, SCORM¢ā SCORM¢āis the industry standard, which allows eLearning content to be described, stored and delivered by the myriad of systems in use to provide eLearning today. Convertor for PowerPoint enables learning management system administrators, learning content managers, corporate trainers and instructional designers to deploy Microsoft PowerPoint documents quickly and easily to any SCORM compliant LMS.

Convertor for PowerPoint joins the successful Convertor for Word ("Best in Class" at the recent ADL Plugfest) to extend this product line. Both products remove over 90% of the cost and complexity of getting training materials into a learning system. Both products allow eLearning content creators to use tools they are most familiar with (Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) instead of requiring them to learn new authoring tools. And unlike service bureaus offering conversion services, you can buy a Convertor tool once and convert as many files as you want for simply a 'per seat' price for the tool.

"In today's corporations, PowerPoint presentations are the most common form of training materials", said Steven Forth, founder and CEO of Recombo. "As corporations move more and more of their training to online systems for eLearning, Recombo is committed to being the leader in ease, quality and cost-effectiveness of content conversion."

Although Convertor for PowerPoint is fast and easy, it makes no compromise on quality of output or depth of capability. It offers full metadata editing and SCORM¢āmanifest editing. This means the content can be easily managed and referenced for your eLearning delivery needs, and the content can be reliably delivered on any SCORM¢ācompliant LMS.

"Corporations want and need a simple way to create internal content. Convertor for PowerPoint will let them turn out content using a tool they're already familiar with. " said Bruce Stewart, CEO of Serebra Learning Corporation (TSX VEN: SBR), Canada's leading full-service supplier in the eLearning sector. "It's solving a real problem at a cost point that is readily affordable. It's bound to succeed."

Convertor¢āfor PowerPoint is available from Recombo Inc. The company is presently offering a 30-day trial download for product evaluation. The product is available for $595, and a special bundle of both Convertor for Word and Convertor for PowerPoint is available for $750. Site license pricing is available to corproations, government and academic institutions. More details are available at http://www.recombo.com.
