Books And Me.Com, LLC in partnership with the National Crime Prevention Council(N.C.P.C), in the promotion of McGruff And Me Personalized Children's Give-A-Book program.

District A LAUSD Elementary schools will be the starting place for this program. McGruff and A D.A.R.E Police officer will visit the children at school to talk about crime prevention and safety. Sponsors will be giving as gifts to every child, their very own Mcgruff And Me Personalized Children's book.

Who:   Books And Me.Com, LLC celebrates The McGruff And Me Give-A-Book program. It is time to "Take A Bite Out of Crime."

What:    Books And Me announces the revival of the infamous fighting crime dog, McGruff. Books And Me and the National Crime Prevention Council (N.C.P.C) are in a partnership in promoting McGruff And me Give-A-Book program. Books And Me will be hosting The McGruff And Me Give-A-Book program throughout the Los Angeles School District-District A (LAUSD District A) K-5. Each of the schools participating will conduct an assembly that will be comprised of a D.A.R.E police officer, the crime dog McGruff, and the dedicated sponsors for that school. Special guest at this first event will be Faye Warren of N.C.P.C she is the Director of Licensing. But, best of all, every child will receive a free personalized McGruff and Me book.

When:   1st School Friday, October 4, 1:00 pm

Where:   Calabash Elementary School, 23055 Eugene St. Woodland Hills, CA

Why:   Child safety, crime prevention, and better-made choices help build a safer community for all. The McGruff And Me Give-A-Book program will be the driving force towards a safer, stronger and more united community. Books And Me.Com, LLC is taking a special interest in community awareness and has had the opportunity working with many wonderful organizations such as the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), and local Police Departments. Reading can be fun but more importantly through education all is possible.
