San Francisco - September 30, 2002 All of us misplace things from time to time, some of us with ever-increasing frequency. Misplacing our car keys or the TV remote is one of life's minor but most persistent annoyances. As our baby boomer population ages, these senior moments are becoming a more commonplace occurrence.

A study by Bruskin/Goldring Research questioned doctors about memory loss issues. More than 80 percent of all physicians surveyed said their patients over age 30 complained of memory loss. In another study by the Dana Foundation found that nearly seven of 10 adults have concerns about memory loss. The fact that 10,000 U.S. baby boomers hit age 50 every day has created a multi-million-dollar industry focused on aging baby-boomers' forgetfulness. One recent outgrowth is the introduction of a new generation of personal tracking devices.

This new generation of tracking devices makes use of the latest miniaturized radio frequency technology to track misplaced items. Three of the most notable are products from Sharper Image, Brookstone, and a brand new company called Atamia that is has introduced for Fall 2002 their patent pending personal locator, Finderz Keyperz.

The new generation devices work in a similar manner but with some important differences. Each can attach to a key chain or be attached to a remote control. But only Finderz Keyperz is expandable, rechargeable and includes a powerful led flashlight.

The near future promises to expand on this trend as more companies enter this market. NASA has introduced technology for licensing to keep track of infants unintentionally left in automobiles through its patent pending Child Presence Sensor which will be introduced to the market in 2003.

Finderz Keyperz begins shipping Ocotber 1. The basic Finderz Keyperz Starter Kit includes two transmitter/receivers, rechargeable batteries and a smart charger.
