The PTM is a critical component of a Signature Analysis System being developed by NRL for Naval ship defense applications.

Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) October 2, 2002 -- Xybion Corporation, Sensor Positioning Systems (Xybion), a designer and manufacturer of adaptable, highly reliable, very accurate positioning systems, announced today that the Naval Research Laboratory -- Stennis Space Center has purchased a Pedestal Tracking Mount system from Xybion. The system includes a standard Xybion SPS-500 pedestal and system control unit (SCU), a video camera, a lens, an automatic video tracker (AVT), a joystick and a computer control system. Xybions positioning systems are ideal for high-velocity positioning, to micro-radian accuracies, of optical sensors, lasers, radars, and communication antennas installed on land, sea and airborne platforms. Our standard designs are modular allowing inexpensive customization to accommodate payloads weighing from 5 to 1,200 lbs. Xybion also supplies turnkey systems, such as the PTM, incorporating industry-leading optics, lasers, video cameras, IR sensors, stabilization sensors, automatic video trackers and software. Custom designs for hardware, software, training and installation are available to support customers with unique requirements.
