Amicus Announces eBlotter 4.0
Web-based compliance and record keeping solution prepares securities organizations to meet new, more rigorous investor and transaction review requirements
Austin, TX, October 3, 2002 -- Amicus®, Inc. today announced the availability of eBlotter 4.0, an enhanced version of the companys client and transaction processing system designed to streamline and automate the record keeping, supervision, and compliance processes of securities professionals. eBlotter incorporates investor, suitability, and trade information within a single, web-based application.
Recent rules and record-keeping requirements in conjunction with stricter Know Your Customer (KYC) and AML legislation require a technology-driven solution to monitor, track, and report on client transactions. Amicus eBlotter 4.0 was designed with these requirements in mind. Enhancements to the new version include:
Onscreen viewing of investor, suitability, and individual trade information allows brokerage firms to comply with current and pending regulatory requirements
Complete investor database module for recording customer identification information, including all information required by AML and PATRIOT Act legislation
Entry validation ensuring that employment information, addresses, identification numbers, and other required information are collected, entered in the appropriate format, and are available in a database for pre-population of trade-blotters
User driven, web-based reporting based on investor and transaction criteria allowing organizations to easily retrieve trade and client reports regardless of location
Query based search capabilities for product and investor information speed entry and ensure data consistency
Onscreen approval and denial of trades supporting a multi-tiered hierarchy
Leveraging of existing back-office and trade systems for pre-population of blotters
Support for check and application business processing and review capabilities
As a part of the PATRIOT Act, organizations must be prepared to track client and suitability information at the transaction level, versus at the client level. Without an automated system, this is a daunting and expensive task requiring strict adherence to manual processes with many opportunities for failure," said Rick Johnson, CEO. Utilizing our extensive experience and feedback from our customers, leading organizations in the securities industry, Amicus eBlotter was designed to automate these tasks while decreasing personnel and rep frustrations."
Other features of the product include complete revision history and archival of transaction changes, routing and approval function that can be tailored to your organization's unique structure, viewing of completed and in-process trades based on secure user-roles, and reporting based on user-defined criteria. And because the system is web-based, approved personnel can meet regulatory reporting requirements instantly.
