CHICAGO, IL -- October 3, 2002 -- Frankel, a leading promotional marketing agency in the Publicis Groupe SA agency network, has named Dick Thomas President, CEO of Frankel. Thomas reports to Jim Mack, Group Chairman of Frankel.
As president, Dick Thomas will focus on short and long-term growth opportunities for Frankel and delivering the best ideas and solutions and the highest level of thinking to the clients. As Group Chairman of Frankel, Jim Mack will continue to focus on building and growing the agencys clients in addition to its growing subsidiaries Creative Aim, Asterisk*, and Marketing Events.

Thomas, 46, joined the agency in 1993 as vice president, business development. In 1995, he was named senior vice president and had the added responsibilities for identifying and growing the agencys non-promotional capabilities. In 1999, he was named executive vice president responsible for two agency subsidiaries and the re-positioning of the direct, database marketing and digital marketing capabilities.
Prior to joining Frankel, Dick held numerous sales, marketing and management positions at Donnelley Marketing and Johnson & Johnson.
