On April 11, ConferenceCall.com invited Carter Blood Care into the office so that its employees could participate in a blood drive. Over 50% of the staff took time to donate blood. To encourage generosity in "needle-shy" employees, the company held a raffle for three $25 dollar gift certificates for participants in the drive. The turnout from the blood drive was so impressive that on August 6, the company invited Carter Blood Care back into the office. This time, employees donated blood to participate in their Marrow Donor Program. Once more employees came out in full force in support of this cause. Thirty-five percent of the participants were eligible to donate their blood for further testing.
