The site is designed for fans and others concerned about the former mayor . According to Save Buddy! creator Chris Stuart, "Buddy Cianci is a cult hero to residents of Providence and elsewhere. He has done so much for the city of Providence, and I felt he deserved a place for people to show their support. SaveBuddy.com is a place for fans to show support and to ensure that we preserve his legacy while the government has their way with him. Fans of Buddy need a place to come and voice their opinions and concerns."

The site offers the latest news, polls, live forums, and ability to voice out about the former mayor.The site also offers merchandise, from Save Buddy! T-shirts, caps and mugs. According to Chris Stuart, "People want to show support for Cianci, and I'm sure the mayor wouldn't mind seeing someone walking through the streets of Providence proudly sporting a Save Buddy! t-shirt."
