Wedding Day Disaster Leads to New Business!

New Event Planning / Consulting business started in Wichita, Kansas. Company founded by former distressed bride.

Melissa Longpine had a disastrous wedding day. Although she planned everything well in advance, anything that could go wrong did! She found herself, the bride, rushing around delaying her vows while she set up tables for her reception and looked for serving spoons for the sherbet.

From that moment on, Melissa knew that other brides could benefit from her misadventure. Melissa along with daughter Keila Holt have opened White Dove Wedding & Event Planners at 107 No. Market Suite 416, in the Oil Trading Building, corner of Market and Douglas.

"I know how stressful planning a wedding, or any event for that matter, can be. Thats why I decided to put my past experience to work for others. Our goal at White Dove is to make sure you have that wonderful Special Day without all of the work and stress," states Melissa.

Melissa gained additional experience as a wedding planner while working for a local wedding chapel. I have assisted brides with everything from invitations to vows and more."    

White Dove Planners specializes in weddings, but they can also assist with other special occasions: birthdays, engagement parties, anniversaries, reunions, and corporate events. White Dove works with approximately 22 area vendors.
