Webcam Watchdog Brings Multiple Camera Security solution to Home and Small Business

Oct 6, 2002, Webcam Corp. has released WCSP100-4, a low cost and easy to install 4 port digital video surveillance solution for home and small business. Multiple camera digital video surveillance system has long been an inaccessible luxury for small business and home until the introduction of WCSP100-4. WCSP100-4 includes one up to 30 frames per second, 4 channels PCI video capture card and award winning Webcam Watchdog software. With WCSP100-4 and a sub $500 PC, WCSP100 provides advanced digital local and remote surveillance solution with the cost of today's traditional analog DSP Quad and video recorder.

Built on quality and performance, Webcam Watchdog software utilizes its proprietary video engine and Windows Media (TM) Technology to achieve up to 1800:1 compression ratio and yet still provide high-quality, real-time, video and audio recording. The software provides different compression ratio for choices. With WCSP100-4, by selecting 24 KB/sec encoding for 4 video channels, a 40 GB hard drive can hold up to 20 days of video.

Because Webcam Watchdog uses the Internet along with its built-in Java and ActiveX capability, there is no need to buy and install any software to view the images being captured. All surveillance images can be viewed using Internet Explorer 4 or 5, or Netscape 4 or 5. With its streaming video capability, you can view recorded video clips remotely without downloading the entire video file.

In addition to using the program's build in web server for remote access, it can also be used to upload images to your FTP server. You can store the images on the remote servers for back up.

Other features include the ability to add text captions to the images, to place a date/time stamp on each video frame, motion detection alarm, and to adjust the frame rate, picture size, and quality settings.

WCSP100 requires Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and a Windows compatible sound card. The list price of WCSP100 is $299.95(US), and may be purchased securely online at http://www.webcamsoft.com. A free trial version of single camera Webcam Watchdog is available for download at http://www.webcamsoft.com For more information, contact Webcam Corp., 2 Knollwoord Rd East, NJ 08817.
