This new release of ClipDoc is the answer to two
questions:
Question 1:
| | - the future of file-sharing made of one gigantic
network where everything can be shared, or will it be
based on thousands of small ones, each being dedicated
- highly specialized resources ?
|
Question 2:
| | - to run a file-sharing network without being
| bothered by angry lawyers ?
Answer 1:
- You guessed it, the future is plural, and this is
| | - ClipDoc is now also a file-sharing network.
Unlike its competitors, images can be shared too,
thanks to automated thumbnail galleries.
- The server application is offered for free,
- that anyone can run his/her own network,
- a secure LAN or the Internet.
| - ClipDoc clients can access all network servers
(that want to).
- 75% of all advertising banners are controlled by
network administrators, to let them earn money.
Private networks only have 67%.
Answer 2:
- ClipDoc (client) is basically an http/ftp server
running from home. Users are responsible for what
they publish, like any webmaster. The server is only
routing users to volatile web sites.
- The server's search engine does not know WHICH files
| | - is sharing, but what KIND of files, and how many.
This is obviously less effective to find one particular
file, but because you have to see what is available,
- process opens up your mind to what you would never
think of. Beside, file names are useless when looking
- images, software, and many other resources.
|
Another extremely useful feature is the integrated
link extractor, designed to download images (or anything
else) from galleries (or any web page).
If you've never tried deep-linking, follow the given
examples and you will be amazed...
