The Advantage Group announces release of Device Manager Business Edition UPS Management Software

In order to keep pace with the growing complexity of power management, The Advantage Group has launched Device Manager Business Edition, UPS management software designed to address the needs of business users. The software can be customized under an OEM agreement.

In order to keep pace with the growing complexity of power management, The Advantage Group has launched a suite of hardware and software products designed to address the needs of both business and home users. All products can be customized under an OEM agreement.

After ten years of designing UPS software management products, we feel we have the expertise to tie a family of products together into a comprehensive management tool," said Dave Cole, president of The Advantage Group. These products incorporate the best features available in the UPS industry today, providing the functionality and ease-of-use required to manage a single UPS or thousands of UPSs. We recognize that many UPS manufacturers find it more cost-effective to outsource their software development and we are pleased to provide these companies with fully-featured hardware and software products at a fraction of the cost to develop the products internally."

The new product family includes:

-- Device Manager Personal Edition --

Device Manager Personal Edition was specifically designed with the home user in mind. It combines ease of use and a graphically rich user interface with sophisticated power management functionality. In the event of an extended power outage, the software works with built-in Microsoft Windows functionality to perform a graceful, unattended shutdown to help prevent data loss. Full hibernation support is provided for Windows XP.

Device Manager Personal Edition is available for PCs running Microsoft Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.
