Pilot-Study Reveals 5% Increase in productivity using Contour Designs Rollermouse

Contour Designs computer input devices offer office workers around the world a more comfortable workspace and increased productivity.

Windham, NH -- October 03, 2002 -- Contour Design, Inc. today announced the results of the Humantech Project called the Pilot Study: Performance, Risk, and Discomfort Effects of the RollerMouse station." The study reveals that Contour Designs RollerMouse Station scores very high as an alternative to other computer mice, saving time and increasing productivity over conventional mice.

Mike Wynn, Vice President and Ergonomics Engineer for Humantech states, The results from our pilot study were very promising. The RollerMouse effectively eliminated ergonomic risk related to reaching to the input device and showed a comfort advantage over a standard 2- button mouse. Users were able to achieve faster data entry using the RollerMouse, averaging almost 5% increased productivity. We're looking forward to conducting additional studies to confirm that these initial results hold up in real work environments."

Similar findings were established earlier in the year when Contour Design conducted a study of the RollerMouse Station in the one thousand-seat call center of a major U.S. pharmaceutical company. This study discovered a 47% reduction in reported operator pain when using the RollerMouse Station.
