New Book Links Sweet, Sexy Talk and Relationship Success

Talk sexy, spicy, even raunchy to your mate and have a better sex life," says Dr. Aline Zoldbrod, a nationally recognized best-selling author and sex therapist. Dr. Zoldbrod reveals ways to turn up the sexuality by teaching couples how to talk to each other about their deepest desires in the new book, Sex Talk: Uncensored Exercises for Exploring What Really Turns You On, co-authored with erotica writer Loren Dockett.

New Book Links Sweet, Sexy Talk and Relationship Success

Talk sexy, spicy, even raunchy to your mate and have a better sex life," says Dr. Aline Zoldbrod, a nationally recognized best-selling author and sex therapist. Dr. Zoldbrod almost promises orgasms where none before, or better ones and a far more engaging sexual life.

Dr. Zoldbrod even put it in writing. Her newest book is Sex Talk: Uncensored Exercises for Exploring What Really Turns You On, co-authored with erotica writer Lauren Dockett.

She works with many couples with what she calls the Panda Syndrome", i.e. those couples whose sex life has come to a dead stop. "Like pandas, they are darling and friendly and cavort and play beautifully together," she says, "but it is almost impossible to get them to mate."

Zoldbrods newest book is fun and one of the sexiest mainstream sex-help books ever written, teaching couples how to talk comfortably to each other about their deepest desires, using stories. She notes that studies show that women who were more able to talk about their sexual needs had sex more often and were more orgasmic then women who are verbally inhibited. A survey of more than 100,000 married women determined that the strongest indicator of marital and sexual satisfaction among women was good sex talks with their mates," she notes.

Zoldbrod takes a long, satisfying look at how to foil fading sexuality. The book explores and illustrates:

How you can create your own disinhibition coach" to help you with saucy sex talk.

How talking about your most shameful past sexual behavior can bring you closer to your partner.

Why gummy worms are a great sex aid.

How every man and woman who gets stuck sexually, whatever your sexual orientation or age, can turn on again with sweet, sexy, intimate sex-talk.

How to talk and joke your way into orgasms that might have been missed.

How Sexy Talk Saves Marriages

Why women should understand that getting to orgasm is a lot like taking a great Dane for a walk. (Really!!)

Dr. Zoldbrod knows. She is a licensed psychologist and sex therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience, certified by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists and the American Board of Sexology,

Zoldbrod, 54, is a high-energy innovator whose ideas about developing healthy sexuality have gained national attention. Her prior book, Sex Smart: How Your Childhood Shaped Your Sexual Life and What to Do About It is endorsed by over a dozen of Americas top sexologists and won ForeWord Magazines award as one of the top three self help books of 1998. Zoldbrod graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Highest Honors from Oberlin College during the height of the sexual revolution. However, her comfort with the topic of sex probably was most influenced by her parents liberalism, particularly her mothers.

Zoldbrod is on the staff at the Lahey Clinic and at Winchester Hospital in the Boston area. Despite her reputation as an expert on the intrapsychic and intrapersonal aspects of sexual function, Zoldbrod does not believe you can ignore biology when it comes to sexuality. Zoldbrod spends one day a week on staff at the prestigious Lahey Clinic Center for Sexual Function in Peabody, Massachusetts, working on the cutting edge of sexual medicine. Here, the tools of the trade are not just sexy talk and gummy worms, but include laboratory tests, injections, Viagra, and experimental work using DHEA (a hormone which the body changes to testosterone.)
