EGIS Implements Scala in Poland

Pharmaceutical company saves time and resources on reporting and cost control with latest Scala technology

9 October 2002: Scala Business Solutions today announced that after having implemented Scala 5.1 for its reporting and cost control earlier this year, EGIS Polska now has plans to implement iScala 2.1, Scalas latest Collaborative ERP solution. They are also planning to integrate the system with a banking interface module, create a new chart of accounts and improve their consolidation process. The whole system will be integrated with EGIS Polands head office in Budapest.

Scala saves EGIS time and resources on reporting that was previously done manually. Activities that took a few days now only take a few hours. Most of the companys reports and analyses concentrate on cost controlling. Four reporting levels on two dimensions had to be used to collect all the required information on costs in each of the companys departments, which were divided into groups, regions, sales representatives and products. EGIS has now created its own, user-defined reports which allow management to view business data from different perspectives.
