Startling 200% Capacity Increase Announced For HiPath 3000

Class leading management tools, enhanced desktop flexibility and increased configuration capacity in all existing models are the highlights of the new Version 3.0 software release for HiPath 3000.

Now capable of handling up to 500 IP users, an increase of up to 200%, Version 3.0 also allows for IP Payload switching, for the first time simultaneously improving voice quality and dramatically reducing WAN/LAN bandwidth requirements. Previously, both call signalling and the voice payload were hardware routed which was effective but relied on specific DSP chip availability, The new technology sends voice as data packets directly from one IP workpoint to the other with only the call signalling requiring HiPath 3000 support, this is more efficient and does not rely so heavily on bandwidth.

Putting the customer in control
HiPath 3000 version 3.0 also provides a new network based customer GUI management tool which allows an IT Manager or administrator to control the day to day changes required to the configuration and set up of their system. This flexibility allows customers to ensure that their HiPath 3000 solution is always in tune with their changing business needs.

Version 3.0 also makes use of the unique USB technology deployed by the optiPoint 500 range of digital telephones. Delivering CTI and high bandwidth to the desktop has never been easier with simple plug and play connectivity provided between a PC and the optiPoint telephone. Free software downloads are provided from Siemens HiPath.com website meaning that dialling from outlook or similar applications has never been more cost effective.
