Kingston, NJ -- October 16, 2002. Online Grading Services, LLC (OGS) today announced the worlds first online digital grading service available at www.ogscard.com. OGS provides accurate and precise grading to enable a common standard for non-encapsulated cards being sold on popular auction sites such as eBay and Yahoo as well as ecommerce sites.

Each day thousands of ungraded vintage and modern cards are listed on auctions sites without any form of standardized grading... that all changes with our service. OGS Members can easily submit cards for grading by uploading scanned images of the front and back of their cards at the OGS website. OGS requires these scans to be 300 dots per inch (dpi) to insure highest quality. OGS evaluates the card images and Members are provided with subgrades for corners, centering, surface, and edges as well as an overall card grade. The card image is then digitally encapsulated in OGSs DigitalSlab image which is hosted as part of the service. Once the card has been listed for auction or added to a storefront potential buyers can click on the DigitalSlab to see the cards DetailPage showing close up views of the front, back and corners. Graded card images can also be stored on the OGS site for archival purposes.
