YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GROUP IN ASSOCIATION WITH MEL & ROSE HOSTS HARVEST MOON WINE TASTING EVENT ON OCTOBER 26, 2002

LOS ANGELES, CA, October 26, 2002 - The late harvest moon has arrived! Come celebrate with Young Professionals Group (YPG) at Mel & Rose on Saturday, October 26, 2002 from 2pm to 6pm.

The YPG Harvest Moon Wine Tasting event offers a sampling of fine vintages while being entertained by the jazz tunes of The Kid and Nick Show, giving its attendees the chance to connect with friends old and new. We will also host an opportunity drawing to benefit YPG, featuring items such as original artwork, gift certificates to fine restaurants and more.

The Young Professionals Group is a volunteer organization of men and women 21 -- 40 years of age who are dedicated to serving the needs of the Los Angeles community. Formed in January 2001, YPG provides fundraising and volunteer support while offering members professional development and social networking opportunities.

The Good Shepherd Center, a beneficiary of Young Professionals Group, offers a comprehensive range of services for homeless women and their children, including a drop-in center, a mobile outreach unit, and residences for homeless women and mothers who are disabled and their children. The Center was also one of the first recipients of President George Bush Sr.s Thousand Points of Light" award for outstanding excellence in service to the community. Last year the Young Professionals Group raised over $40,000 for the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women and Children.

A donation is suggested for the Good Shepherd Center Mobile Outreach Unit in the form of blankets, clothing, toiletries and/or non-perishable foods.
