Pain In the Name of Love? Tired of the Madness, One Woman Just Wants It To Stop

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pain In the Name of Love?

Tired of the Madness, One Woman Just Wants It To Stop

AUGUSTA, GEORGIA- Sometimes it is just easier not to care. When the odds of the world continue to stack themselves against you, not caring is easier than letting the pain actually get to you. Once you start down the path of not caring, what can bring you back? Or can anything?

Touched (available from iuniverse) is the story of one man, the woman with the tools to help him, and the journey they take together on the road to understanding. Matthew Allen is a man that does not care. Like the infamous Grinch of Dr. Seuss, it often seemed his heart was two sizes too small. At the tender age of eight something happened to Matthew. From that moment on, the odds were stacked against him and he stopped caring.

The first night of his internship, he meets a 98-year-old African American lady who possesses the tools of the trade," as she describes them. On a journey to the dark side of mans nature, this elderly woman reaches out to touch Matthew. But, will he ask for her help?

Touched travels on the rocky road of life. A road filled with sadness, laughter and coming to grips with the past just long enough to enjoy the future. As you close the cover of Touched, more than anything, you will realize that there is hope.

Author Linda Armstrong-Miller began Touched out of anger. Armstrong-Miller is a Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care. As a nurse, she has seen many injuries inflicted in the name of love" and of hate." After work, she would come home and see more pain on the TV, read about it in the papers, and hear about it from friends and family. She wanted nothing more than for all the madness to stop.

It was from that desire that she penned Touched. She calls Touched a slap you in the face kind of book." Armstrong-Miller hopes that after reading Touched, the readers will find the strength to not only get help but give help and support.
