Heather Posthumus, the daughter of Michigan Gubernatorial Candidate Dick Posthumus, will be visiting the University of Detroit Mercy this Friday, October 18th, 2002. Heather will meet with students to talk about issues such as education, jobs & the economy, and the environment and how her father proposes to approach these issues and overcome the challenges they present.
Heather currently attends Monroe Community College and as a college student, she knows the issues students from across the state are interested in. By engaging in discourse with students about the issues of this upcoming election, Heather makes an important point that political issues should be openly discussed amongst the college student population.
Heather Posthumus will be arriving at the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity House at approximately 12:05 PM. The house is located at 16546 Fairfield St., Detroit, MI, 48221. After arriving, she will walk to campus with a group of students from UDM to talk with fellow students about the upcoming gubernatorial election.
Any questions about this event should be directed via e-mail or phone to Kevin Kijewski (key-es-key), the chairperson of Students for Posthumus at the University of Detroit Mercy.
