Golf Aficionado® Announces Trademark For All Golf Related Products

WALNUT CREEK, CA--(September 15, 2002)--Golf Aficionado® - provider of golf products on the Internet, is granted the exclusive right to use the word mark "Golf Aficionado".

"We are pleased to have been granted the word mark ' Golf Aficionado ' by the United States Patent and Trademark Office," said Tirso De Ubago, Managing Partner of Golf Aficionado®. "It embodies and protects all our Intellectual Properties including ' Aficionado™ ' and ' Golf Aficionado.com® ' which we have owned since 1999. Any use of our trademark / word phrase / moniker or any combination thereof - without our expressed written consent, Is in violation of Trademark laws."    

We are planning to License our trademark to interested parties. In the meantime, as the Golf industry is currently experiencing intellectual property copying or 'knocking off' of their products, We have decided that any of our trademark products that are not sold directly by us is considered counterfeit."
