WHY:    In a public appearance, Mrs. Harry
        Blackstone, will be on hand to seek
        guidance from beyond for the first-ever
        Sothesbys.com auction, November 14-
        24,2002 of "The Blackstone Collection of
        Magic." According to Gay Blackstone, "It
        is with great honor, and some
        trepidation, that we can offer this
        unique opportunity to own a piece of
        history. Since I've been entrusted with
        upholding the Blackstone's family's rish
        heritage of magic and as an ambassador of
        the Society of American Magicians (SAM)
        and the International Brotherhood of
        Magicians (IBM), a portion of the
        proceeds will be donated to both
        organizations."

        One-on-one interviews will be set up
        following the press conference. Drinks
        and light luncheon will be served at
        12:30PM.

        *This will be the ONYLY chance for
        members of the press to iew signature
        items including historic classic "The
        Blackstone Vanishing Birdcage" and "The
        Tiger Cage Illusion", as well as, rare
        one-of-kind lithographs and hand-beaded,
        designer couture.
