Microtech Announces Xpress, the Most Advanced
CD/DVDR Publishing System to Date
Announces the release of our latest extremely advanced duplication system. This is the culmination of 20 years experience in the CD industry coming to the market place.
BELMONT, CA -- October 15, 2002
Microtech Systems, the foremost experts in high-end disc publishing and duplication, announced today the volume shipments of their new Xpress 600-disc capacity automated disc publishing system. Released in June 2002, Xpress allows unattended publishing of even the most intricate jobs in a true lights-out" mode. "This new system is fully modular, with easy expansion and many configuration options, allowing the end-user to customize the system to match their unique publishing and duplication needs. The Xpress design integrates our cumulative knowledge from over 10 years of experience in the automated CD production equipment business," stated Corwin Nichols, Microtech President and CEO.
The Xpress benchmark configuration boasts four Plextor PlexWriter 40X CD recorders or four Pioneer 2X A04 DVD recorders, an inkjet or high-speed thermal disc printer, along with Microtechs unparalleled ImageMaker Software Suite. Xpress systems are delivered complete with a fully integrated PC featuring a 1.5GHZ Pentium 4 Processor, 40GB SCSI hard drive, 15" flat panel LCD monitor, and an Ethernet interface.
John Beckstrom, COO of Microtech said, the Xpress loader is so automated that it basically takes the handler out of the equation. Users can focus on getting the most out of their process, implementing the impressive feature set of the Microtech applications suite without concerns for the handling mechanism performance."
The small footprint and contemporary design of Xpress makes it the ideal system for anything from a small recording studio or medical imaging lab all the way to the more industrial setting and needs of a service bureau.
