Company Description: Slide View Corp. was formed to research and develop new and advanced computer hardware technologies for both original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and the vast consumer aftermarket.
Founded less than three years ago (mid-2000), the company's premier product to date is the unveiling of its proprietary XPanels designed to meet the growing demand for multiple-view monitors to run both multi-screen programs or two or more applications simultaneously.
While multi-tasking and multiple display is now a standard offering with Windows, Macintosh, Unix and Linux operating software -- allowing a single computer to utilize more than one monitor -- and there are numerous hardware options and configurations available to achieve this with desktop computing, there was no such option for laptop computers.
Addressing this void, Slide View Corp. has developed a lightweight flat panel monitor concept that allows OEM manufacturers or existing users to attach one or two additional LCD viewing panels on laptop computers for multi-tasking and multiple display.
This revolutionary advancement now brings advanced computing to the burgeoning portable laptop market and offers new marketing opportunities for both manufacturers and aftermarket retailers with a new technology that meets a proven and growing demand for multiple viewing.
| | - XPanels concept, pioneered and developed by Slide View, allows laptop users to expand computing capability -- without hampering portability -- and it is the first mobile peripheral display device now being readied for market.
- October 2002, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued an official Notice of Allowance for Slide View's innovative multi-display peripheral device(s) with a slide-out viewing panel (or panels) for new and existing laptop computers.
| While continuing its role as a computer technology research and solution development firm, Slide View is actively negotiating licensing with numerous OEM manufacturers and retailing supply chains serving the aftermarket to make this highly desirable advancement available to consumers in the very near future.
