New Email Server Blocks All Spam!
Wouldn't it be nice to only receive email from people who are in your address book?
Patent Pending Proamilix is a new concept in completely private email.
The Promailix server blocks everyone by default. The recipient is thus empowered with the ability to choose exactly whom they wish to receive email from; instead of laboring to inform the server of whom they do not.
Promailix was developed with an emphasis on total privacy. Its unique user security engine was built after the developer studied how Instant Messaging works and how it keeps unwanted messages away from the user.
Instant Messaging uses what is called a "Buddy List." This is a list of people whom the user wishes to receive messages. All others are blocked.
This model is highly effective at keeping unwanted messages from reaching the user, which gives rise to its popularity.
Promailix uses this same model to keep unwanted email from reaching the user.
When the Promailix server receives an email request, it checks the sender's address against the user's "Buddy List." If found, the email is allowed to continue. If the sender's email address is not found in the user's PassList the server will return a "550" reply code to discontinue the transaction.
This filtering model assures that the user receives email from authorized senders, and will not receive unwanted email.
Promailix In Use:
HELO promailix.com
250 Welcome
MAIL FROM: joe@spam.com
250 joe@spam.com
Sender OK
RCPT TO: kevin@promailix.com
550 Unauthorized Sender
QUIT
250 Goodbye
As seen above, joe@spam.com sent an email to kevin@promailix.com and the Promailix server promptly rejected it. No content filters were used as they are less than perfect. Total security means allowing only pre-authorized email addresses to reach a user's inbox.
When an account holder sends an email message, the recipient's address is automatically entered into the user's PassList so that a reply may take place.
Additionally, Promailix supports web-based PassList editing. Users may connect to the authentication database and update their PassList from anywhere.
Coming Soon: A utility which will extract email addresses from Outlook and Exchange address books and convert them into a PassList!
