Piwacket Theatre for Children announces its 11th season in St. Louis. Piwacket performs its original repertoire of cleverly adapted, character education based fairy tales for children ages 2-10 and their families.

OFF The CUFF Productions, producers of Piwacket Theatre for Children, proudly announces its 11th season, performing quality educational shows for children and their families in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Piwacket returned to KETC Channel 9's, 2nd Annual, Arthur's Picnic in The Park, Saturday, September 14th in Forest Park with their performance of Jack and The Beanstalk. Piwacket's public schedule begins on November 2nd at the Webster Groves Recreational Complex with a performance of a Piwacket favorite, Little Red Riding Hood, which will continue with performances on November 9thth, 11:00 AM at the Chesterfield Community Theatre and November 15th and 16th at 10:30AM and 11:00AM at The Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. Piwacket is pleased to continue its performances at the Missouri History Museum after a successful first year at this new venue. The Missouri History Museum is an ideal location for families and schools located in St. Louis City.

Piwacket Theatre for Children is proud to bring quality children's theatre to the St. Louis Metro area. Piwacket travels the area to perform at four public venues as well as for area schools, ommunity centers and festivals.

This year Piwacket will continue to offer performances on Saturdays and Sundays for families and special Morning School Series performances at The Chesterfield Community Center, Missouri History Museum and beginning this year, at The Lincoln Theatre in Belleville, Illinois. Piwacket provides schools the opportunity to educate and stimulate young minds through live theatre.

This season Piwacket Theatre for Children will present 4 Piwacket favorites, Little Red Riding Hood, CinderBottom, Jack and The Beanstalk and Lewis & Clark Go West! The fifth production in this year's season opens in December as Piwacket introduces its new Winter Musical, SnowMan's Revenge. A Bluesy Bee Bop Musical where Queen Frostina and her Snappy Snowflakes sing that catchy tune, "Don't Let Anger Get The Best of You".

Piwacket Theatre for Children not only provides public performances, but thanks to the continued generosity of corporate sponsorship, is able to maintain an active outreach program. This November and December, The Employees Community Fund of Boeing St. Louis has made it possible for Piwacket to bring live theatre to the community. The Employees Community Fund of Boeing St. Louis has been a sponsor of Piwacket's for the past 5 years.

Their continued support allows Piwacket to provide shows free of charge to children in many locations including; St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Vincent Home for Children, Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, The Bell Center, Hope House, Christian Service Shelter, St. Louis City Schools and many other children's organizations. The Employees Community Fund of Boeing's ongoing support will place a smile on many young faces.


Piwacket Theatre for Children's 2002 - 2003 Season has been made possible thanks to grants from various corporations and foundations. Piwacket is grateful for these rather large donations and is proud to have their support.

Piwacket receives significant annual support from the St. Louis Regional Arts Commission and also receives funding from The Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, The Fabulous Fox Theatre, The Arts & Education Council of Greater St. Louis, The Missouri Historical Society, Emerson, The City of Chesterfield, Kalishman Foundation, Cook, Ysursa, Bartholomew, Brauer & Shevlin, Attorneys at Law, Laclede Gas Charitable Trust, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation, Schnuck's Markets and many other local businesses, foundations and individuals.
