Toronto based IT provider eCOM takes on an Egyptian face

An international marketing campaign is underway for the Toronto based IT provider Atum. Key to the strategy is a new Egyptian look.

There is a new theme behind Toronto-based IT solution provider eCOM Corporation. From now on the company will be know as Atum, named after the Egyptian god of creation.

Sometimes referred to as Re, the first king of Egypt, Atum was considered to be the creator of the world - definitely large shoes to fill.

When asked about the new look, Atum President and CEO, Jason Williams, responded by saying, "I have great respect and admiration of Egyptian culture and folklore. Choosing the God of Creation just seemed like a natural fit for our company. We strive to be creators of innovative products."

As a result of the name change, current and future products developed by eCOM, will now be re-branded to reflect what Williams referred to as, "an ongoing part of our international marketing strategy". A strategy that included the purchase of all major domain names, like atum.com and atum.net. While phone numbers and the mailing address will remain the same, the company's website address and email extensions will be changing from e-com.ca to atum.com.

The name change is set to coincide with the release of Luxor CRM, the company's customer relationship management application, which according to Sales Manager, Lukas Szczurowski, "was designed to address current ease-of-use, implementation, customization and reporting weaknesses found in other CRM offerings."
