Canadian Mountain Holidays popular 'Family Adventures increase threefold
October 22, 2002. (PRWEB) October 26, 2002 -Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH) launches the 2003 season with a significant increase in vacations tailored to families with young children. In response to the growing trend for family travel, CMH has increased the number of Family Adventures from two to seven for the summer 2003. Family Adventures are available at the Adamant, Bobbie Burns and Cariboo Lodges.
Erich Unterberger, manager of the Adamant Lodge said, "Our Family Adventure gives parents and children an opportunity to explore their interests in the mountains. While parents enjoy heli-hiking or mountaineering with other adults and older children, the young ones are occupied with mountain specific experiences." Erich adds, "The diversity of our Family Adventures allows kids to learn about rock climbing, mountain geology, wildlife and their habitats, map reading and orienteering. They also get the chance to learn about the helicopter and talk with the pilot -- asking as many questions as they like."
After an exhilarating day in the mountains, guests return to a CMH 5-star amenity lodge. With children still in the capable hands of the CMH staff, parents can take advantage of a hot tub, a relaxing massage, or a glass of wine by the fire before an evening family reunion and home-style dinner.
CMHs topnotch summer Family Adventure staff includes education directors, science and environmental specialists, outdoor and physical education teachers that allow youth ranging from preschoolers to teenagers do a lot more than hike.
"This is a sensational way for families to share mountain experiences. Both parents and children have the opportunity to pursue their individual interests during the day, and in the evening, gather around the fireplace to trade stories of the days excitement. All this makes for unique, memorable life experiences." adds Erich.
