Free Educational Seminar Helps People Explore Franchise Opportunities
The A to Z's of Buying A Franchise, a one hour educational seminar, will be presented during two Franchise Showcase events at the Adams Mark Hotel, Jacksonville, on Wednesday, October 30th. Admission is free. The seminar begins at 1 p.m. and it will be repeated at 6 p.m.
Corporate downsizing, a weak economy, and lower interest rates have helped increase the popularity of franchise businesses. However, with more than 2,500 franchise businesses to choose from in the USA, priced from as low as a few thousand dollars to more than $1-million, people need to know IF and HOW a franchise can work for them. "Franchising is not for everyone," says John P. Hayes, Ph.D., a franchise author and speaker who has been teaching The A to Z's of Buying A Franchise for the last dozen years. "While franchising is a safe way to start a business," Hayes continues, "no one should buy a franchise without doing their homework. And that's what I teach people how to do in this seminar."

In addition to the seminar, the Franchise Showcase includes exhibits from a variety of franchise companies, which provide free information. "Franchises are not sold during this event," says Hayes, author of the Franchise Pre-Investment Checklist. "The emphasis is on educating the public about how to evaluate franchise opportunities."
