Womens-Finance.com announces they will be accepting applications for womens business grants.

October 24, 2002 (PRWEB) October 27, 2002 -Finance.com announces its first round of Womens Business Grants to be available January 2003. The business grants will be available to women who want to start or expand an existing business, whether its with a Network Marketing company or a product or service oriented business they have started from the ground up. 

The need for grants for women is well known. Women own over 9 million businesses, yet they receive the least amount of financing from traditional sources such as banks and venture capital firms," says Misty Weaver-Ostinato, founder of Womens-Finance.com. While these options are available to women, the hurdles of credit, experience, collateral and knowledge are often insurmountable. We need small business grants and loans to be able to fill in the cracks." 

The business grants will be awarded in amounts ranging from $100 to $5000. The initial grants are being funded by Womens-Finance.com, but each applicant must donate $5 to the fund so that we can continue to give more business grants. I think its every womans duty to support each other in every way possible. By making a donation we are able to pull our resources to make a better life not only for the women who win the grants, but for each person they touch, including their immediate family, future employees and the community they live in. It really is a win-win situation for everyone involved."
