THE COMMUNICATION CATALYST: The Fast (But Not Stupid) Track to Value for Customers, Investors, and Employees By Mickey Connolly & Richard Rianoshek, Ph.D. (Dearborn Trade Publishing, September 2002).
Historically, flawed human interactions have plagued most efforts to accelerate business success. Communication consultants Mickey Connolly and Richard Rianoshek believe that under the banner of speed, managers are wasting the creative power of their employees, and that more output could be produced faster by managing the social issues that most managers and owners step over or mismanage. These social issues, they contend, demand well-designed conversations. In The Communication Catalyst, Connolly and Rianoshek make their speed-guaranteed communications skills accessible to any business owner or manager. Readers will learn:
§   Why valuable conversation is the answer to the modern demand for speed
§   How effective conversations can accelerate any collaborative achievement
§   How communication can benefit such measurable areas as recruiting, retention, time to market, customer loyalty, employee satisfaction, and earnings per share
