Business Remains Where Appreciated: The Importance of Corporate Gifting

Did You Know that most businesses that are not successful can attribute that fact to one thing?

They failed to realize the impact that relationship marketing would have on the over all success of their business. In our business, we want to be great "gift basket designers." Leave the marketing to someone else, and just let us be creative. That's what we're experts at! Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. We can make the most beautiful designs in the world, but if we don't have customers who are willing to buy them, we will fail.

It's the same scenario in every business. The products being sold and the customers names may vary, but the overall picture remains the same. If you think your business is about sales, you're only seeing half the picture. The often overlooked half is customer relations. We've learned that building a strong relationship with our customers is the key to our success - if we want "repeat" sales. Thriving business is built on the relationship you have with your customers. As good will gestures are so often overlooked these days, we want to make sure you don't miss out on an opportunity to strengthen client rapport.

With the holidays just around the corner, this is the time of year to start thinking about those special clients who have been an integral part of your business success this year.

In an article by Entrepreneur magazine, [November 2001], suggests that, giving holiday gifts more than a good idea, but a must do." Entrepreneur sites a recent American Express survey that reveals the following:
·   It is estimated that $5 billion would be spent wishing clients, employees and vendors, Happy Holidays".
·   More than one third of the small business will spend on average $1800 each in their holiday spending.
·   Small business owners surveyed thought that gift giving led to increased sales

Who should be on your gift list and what should you give?

According to Entrepreneur, anyone who has helped your business to grow-clients, employees, friends, and special vendors should be included. The gifts should reflect your business and a well placed company logo or company name is often well received. The most popular holiday gifts include food items such as cookies, chocolates, popcorn and the like. These items will be remembered and easily shared with others, which is keeping with the holiday season ambiance.

Bottom line, Relationship marketing promotes customer loyalty and leads to referrals and new business growth. Show your customers that you value their business and look forward to a lasting partnership, with the thoughtful gesture of one of our beautiful gourmet gift baskets.

A favorite quote, Business will continue to go where invited, but will remain where appreciated!", rings true when attempting to set your company aside from all the rest.
