The new SMC6709L2 intelligent standalone Fast Ethernet Switch packs eight auto-MDIX 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX ports, one 10/100/1000BASE-T port, and two fiber uplink slots into a compact 1RU-high form factor. One of its versatile uplink slots supports the addition of a 100BASE-FX SMF/MMF module via a SC/MT-RJ port; the other, a 1000BASE-SX/LX module.
