Eurostar and Sarasin are among the latest blue-chip companies to turn to Comms Room Services for their IT network communications needs

In a highly successful last quarter, Comms Room Services, the only company in the UK - and possibly anywhere - to offer specialist services focused on designing and re-engineering IT network communications centres, has won two new, high-profile customers. Joining its portfolio of clients are Eurostar and Sarasin, both requiring a unique, customised solution based on Comms Room Services advanced IT network technology.

For Eurostar, Comms Room Services has delivered a range of benefits including remote management, through the deployment of RiTs PatchView for the Enterprise software system. The solution provides complete information on the workstation physical link, including its location, and delivers topology right down to the level of each individual patch panel port.

Sarasin Investment Management Ltd -- a subsidiary of Swiss private bank, Bank Sarasin & Co. Ltd -- presented a different challenge: to eliminate the possibility of system failure through an effective power and fire protection strategy. Working closely with Sarasin, Comms Room Services developed a solution incorporating an anti-static removable false floor, a three-phase power distribution system via an Electrack" power rail, and a comprehensive fire and water protection system. The electrical system is protected by an APC 40KvA Uninterruptible Power Supply, specifically designed to meet the exacting on-line power protection requirements of data centres.
