Invasive Species To Be Released
New audiothriller to be available as a free download
(PRWEB) October 30, 2002 - An international cast is featured in the independently produced audiothriller Invasive Species" which is nearing completion. The fictional series concerns mysterious disappearances and deaths on the Great Lakes, with an exciting climax in Bay City, MI. The first episode is slated for release as a free download at www.ampcast.com/nbi on Halloween, October 31st, 2002
Writer/Producer Robert Parson says he created Invasive Species" as an audio production because of the flexibility of the format. Im able to give the listener the brick and mortar, and their imaginations will build a whole house. Plus, its inexpensive to produce."
Invasive Species" will be released on the internet at www.ampcast.com/nbi as seven weekly episodes of roughly five minutes each. This is an inexpensive method of world-wide distribution. It also accomplishes two goals- First, I can create 'appointment listening by having episodes available regularly. Secondly, websurfers are less likely to tune out the short episodes." When the series is completed it will be available on CD.
The internet was also instrumental in the production process. The cast was recruited online, created their roles on their home computers, and delivered their lines to Parson via email. As far as I know, none of the cast members have met. Theyre scattered throughout the world."
Invasive Species" is written and produced by Robert Parson of Albion, Michigan and features: Lucien Dodge of Ithaca, New York; Corinna Bolon of Portland, Oregon; Jay Goemmer of Twin Falls, Idaho; Joel Pierson of Bloomington, Indiana; Cassandra Wladyslava of Raleigh, North Carolina; Sandra Depukat of Perth, Western Australia; as well as Parson and his sons Aaron and Cameron. Original music was composed and performed by Earl Green of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Even before production began, the script received 2nd Place in a contest sponsored by the Friends of Old Time Radio. FOTR is one of the United States largest fan groups for radio theater. The three judge panel selected Invasive Species" as a ...good thriller..." One of the judges, veteran radio theater performer and director Arthur Anderson, noted that it might have won First Prize except for the fact that with a cast of 28 ... we could not have given it a decent production at our convention." Parson , though, is forging ahead with his production.
Invasive Species is being produced and distributed by fledgling audio production studio Newsbob Industries. Its first production, the comedy Ambassador Service," originally a nine-part series, is now available on one CD.
