SpaceStation 5-5-3-2: A Giant Leap for Interactive Learning

VANCOUVER, BC, Canada -- October 28, 2002

Mod7 Communications, Inc., a premiere designer of interactive experiences, announces the launch of SpaceStation 5-5-3-2: Intergalactic Nutrition Training Centre", a creative and ground-breaking educational CD-ROM that helps school kids learn about healthy eating and good nutrition.

Mod7 Principal, Wil Arndt, states, "Kids today are exposed to a lot of intense media experiences including video games, cable TV and the internet. Most educational CD-ROMs provide a lame experience because they dont recognize the sophistication of todays kids. While competing with MTV and Nintendo for kids attention isnt always easy, weve managed to create an experience thats both engaging and educational. With SpaceStation 5-5-3-2, kids think its really 'cool, and teachers are confident that it meets their curriculum -- thats one giant leap for interactive learning!"

Designed for the BC Dairy Foundation, SpaceStation 5-5-3-2 is a curriculum-based nutrition education CD-ROM aimed at 6th, 7th and 8th graders in Canada. In SpaceStation 5-5-3-2, students become Zap, the intrepid Space Mountie, and learn how to evaluate their own diet and how to making good eating choices. Based on Canadas Food Guide to Healthy Eating, SpaceStation 5-5-3-2 uses a colorful cast of characters to review the Four Food Groups, serving sizes and a variety of related concepts.

Sydney Massey, Nutrition Education Manager for the BC Dairy Foundation, says, ...the only complaint people had about (SpaceStation 5-5-3-2) is that they didnt have enough time at the computer...it would be hard to get the students away..."
