QUIK Computing Releases Ace Operator 1.0.1
October 15,2002
Raleigh, NC

QUIK Computing is pleased to announce the release of Ace Operator version 1.0.1. Ace Operator is an instant messaging call center solution that can be accessed from web pages. Using Ace Operator, online service providers can easily add a "live help" button to any or all of their web pages. By simply clicking on the "live help" button, online customers can get access to company representatives and exchange information in real-time. Ace Operator is ideal for online entities such as online stores that need to provide interactive help to their customers. It is also suitable for customer support centers and online training centers. For more information on the product, please visit www.quik-j.com.

This version fixes a number of important bugs that were discovered on Ace Operator version 1.0.0b along with some minor feature enhancements and improvements in the documentation. This release is stable enough to run in a production environment. "We would like to thank you for the overwhelming response that we received in response to our previous announcement. There were thousands of hits on our web site and hundreds of downloads of the software. We hope that you found the information on the web site and the software useful. One of our web servers hosting the trials and the bug database was targeted for a denial-of-service attack and, therefore, had very slow response and significant downtime. We apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused you," said Steve Lawrence, Product Manager for QUIK Computing.

For a limited time, QUIK Computing is offering a free 10-operator license for Internet Service Providers, web hosting and web application companies. This license enables these companies to host Ace Operator as a service for their business customers as well to run web-based call centers for their own customer support. "We would like Internet Service providers and web hosting companies to take advantage of this offer. It will provide them with an additional opportunity to generate revenue with minimal or no investment," said Steve Lawrence. For more details on this offer visit www.quik-j.com/press/pr_9-20-2002.htm.
