HORSES AND CELEBRITIES BOOK INVITES INVOLVEMENT: Roy Rogers Museum Kicks Off Support
Portland, Oregon-October 28, 2002-A first of its kind book featuring celebrities and their horses is under development. Published author and horse lover, Patricia Vance, is bringing together celebrities from all media venues, to help promote the equine industry, while offering publicity opportunities for everyone involved. Additionally, a portion of the sales from every book will be donated to support equine rescue and horse therapy riding programs for children and adults nationally.
The book, tentatively titled, Horses and Celebrities: An Inside Look At Special Relationships, will portray the uncommon connection and bond experienced by celebrities with their horses; all the while representing the bond that is experienced by everyone that loves and understands horses. Engaging photographs combined with an upbeat, informative and entertaining narrative will portray each celebrity. The narrative will be developed from information provided by the celebrity and their representatives.
The book will feature celebrities past and present, upcoming and established, in television, movies, music, sports and politics. The one common denominator will be the celebrities ownership and passion for horses.
Television icons of the past, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans will be featured with their horses, Trigger and Buttermilk. Roy Dusty" Rogers, son of the television icons and President of the Roy Rogers Museum, is graciously supplying inside intimate information and photographs to the project. Dusty Rogers is also providing a promotional book signing and publicity opportunity at the museums new location in Branson, Missouri, The Live Entertainment Capital of The World". The museum is relocating to Branson in 2003.

By portraying celebrities in a private life passion and activity, the author intends to bring additional awareness to the importance of the industry, while providing a beautifully developed and interesting book appealing to a broad range of readers.
