World Wrestling Entertainment To Tour India
for the First Time Since 1996
WWE 3-City Tour Extends the Ten Sports Viewing Experience for Fans
New Delhi, October 31, 2002... World Wrestling Entertainment (PRWEB) October 31, 2002 -city live event tour of India in November 2002, its first tour of India in six years. The tour will feature some of the biggest names in the WWE.
The WWE RAW Tour of India" kicks off at J. N. Stadium in New Delhi on November 21. The other dates are November 22 at MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai, and November 23 at Palace Grounds in Bangalore.
WWE is planning an exciting series of live events for our return to India. We have a passionate fan base that views our TV programming on Ten Sports, but have not had the opportunity to witness WWE Live. This tour will remedy that for more than 60,000 fans, said Roger Marment, WWEs Executive Vice President, International Business Development.
Ten Sports, the exclusive provider of WWE television programming in India, is the broadcast partner for the tour. The WWE Superstars are revered by their fans in India. When we brought down one of their top talents, Big Show, to India the response to him was remarkable, with more than 6,000 people turning up to see him at Ansal Plaza in Delhi. That experience led us to encourage the WWE to come perform in India and give Indian viewers the unique opportunity to watch their favourite stars from Ten Sports live."
Viewers can win two free tickets in each city through a contest that kicks off today on Ten Sports. So stay tuned into all the hottest WWE action with RAW, SmackDown!, Afterburn, Heat, Bottom Line -- Monday to Saturday every day at 5 pm and 10.30 pm.
