BRONX, NY November 1, 2002 Science Academy Software®, a developer of educational software, announced today that TestServlets© now support multiple sound types, .au, .wav, .mp3 on Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0 or later browsers.
Test Servlets are Java(TM) servlets for browser-based testing and assessment for K-12 Education and Occupational Training. These servlets present fill-In, true/false, and multiple-choicetest questions individually or aggregately. They track students as they take tests (session tracking). Tests support user-defined images and sound, lending itself to creating a unique multimedia experience.
Test Servlets measure and display results. Results can be saved, printed, or emailed for further review--a benefit for learners, teachers, testing and training organizations, distance and homeschool learners.
Test Servlets run on a variety of Java Web servers supporting the Java(TM) Servlet Specification 2.2 or later.
Science Academy Software's servlet strategy complements existing and newer web-based instruction, overcomes most common technical barriers to platform independence (PC or Mac). This servlet strategy provides numerous benefits that include security and scaleability.
Tests are created using a simple text authoring tool named WebTest©. WebTest also creates the HTML for executing the servlets to support multiple tests.
