Allometra compared Arabidopsis genome with yeast, human, and worm genomes.

Allometra used PyMood to compare the Arabidopsis genome to yeast, human, and worm.

Arabidopsis encoded proteins were compared with S. cerevisiae, human, and C. elegans proteins. The publicly available annotations from TIGR (Arabidopsis) and NCBI (yeast, human, and worm) were used. The PyMood software package was used for the comparative analysis and data visualization. Arabidopsis specific proteins, proteins shared only between Arabidopsis and one or two other genomes, and the proteins shared between all four genomes have been identified.

The project description, browsable images and the lists of extracted proteins are available at http://allometra.com/Arabidopsis_project.shtml.
