Hooksett, NH -- November 4, 2002: Author Tabatha Jean D'Agata puts pepperoni and e-books to the test with her new children's book series, PETER'S PEPPERONI ADVENTURES!
In PETER'S PEPPERONI ADVENTURES, a humorous four book children's series, eight-year-old Peter is the master of bright ideas, especially since he always has a problem that needs solving. But whenever Peter is faced with a disaster, he faces it with a pepperoni stick! Each book is brightly illustrated by artist Ray Ferguson and includes one or more printable coloring pages.
"E-books are a reading alternative, not a traditional book replacement," says Tabatha. "Books read on the computer allow children an additional format and style of reading. Either way, print or electronic, literacy is the key."
The PETER'S PEPPERONI ADVENTURES series is published by ChildrenzBooks.Com and is available by download, with a cost of $3.00 per title. The books require the use of Abobe Acrobat Reader and are easily read on the computer or can be printed. Children will also find the "next page" feature of the Abobe Acrobat Reader useful instead of having to scroll from page to page.
"My goal with the Peter's Pepperoni Adventures series was to create fully illustrated e-books that would entertain children and encourage literacy. Peter, the main character in my series, is a character most kids can relate to." Tabatha laughs. "Maybe Peter isn't the only kid in the world with a yen for pepperoni either."
Books published by ChildrenzBooks provide readers with the opportunity to hold books in their hands or hearts by reading on the computer or printing them on their own printer.
ChildrenzBooks.Com Publisher, Lawrence Lee, commented, "From the beginning, I've envisioned ChildrenzBooks not as just another ebook publisher, but as a publisher that focuses on printed, hold-in-your-hands, stick-to-the-refrigerator, snuggle on the couch printed words. I consider Tabatha's series to be the gems in the ChildrenzBooks crown."
Tabatha Jean D'Agata lives in the charming town of Hooksett, NH with her husband and their two children. Tabatha's publishing credits include several children's books, articles, and short stories. She is a proud member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
