2002-A TIME FOR CHANGE

Our Black Heritage Inc. is determined to improve the self-esteem of black children.

"Our Black Heritage Incorporated" was formed on February 5, 1994, for the purpose of developing a product that can be used to cultivate one's mind on the rich heritage and contributions of the African American people. The mission of Our Black Heritage Inc. is to use our Dolls to increase the African Americans sense of self-esteem, dignity, and involvement with society at large. The product will be used to educate all children and adults regardless of race or religion. What makes this mission so unique is the fact we have different races and religions working with us on this project. Three Series of product has been developed to acheive our mission:

*God and Goddess
*Antiquity
*Notable African American

In September 2002, we introduced the first Doll from our "Goddess Line": THE GODDESS ISIS. Goddess Isis is dressed in gold sequence giving a beautiful reflection in proper lighting. The headdress, wing, and jewelry are symbolic depictions from the walls of Great African Rulers Tombs. Her wings are made from feathers of exotic birds known to the region of(Kemet) Ancient Africa. The back of all of our doll boxes informs the consumer of important factual historical aspects and contributions made by them in a "Did You Know"...format, ending with a reminder of:

Remember...
HIGH RACE ESTEEM WILL GIVE YOU HIGH SELF-ESTEEM. KNOW OUR HISTORY!
This reminder is our Corporations Vision and Mission Statement. Notable Historians of all races have begun to uncover many mysteries and misconceptions of the African people. Our Black Heritage Incorporated decided to create a tangible image to these discoveries. Our product will provide a teaching tool that will improve social interaction and social cognition of self-concept for all races, especially black children.
