MyDeskLock Announces New Desktop Security Concept.

MyDeskLock announces the availability of a new desktop security software concept that transforms a computer into an Information Kiosk; while locking out access to sensitive computer files.

Bellevue Washington -

MyDeskLock.com announces the commercial availability of a new concept in computer desktop security. Today corporations estimate losses of $1 Million dollars each year resulting from workstation breaches. MyDeskLock allows the computer to be used as an information kiosk; while preventing access to sensitive files. This innovative concept was created by inventor Tim E. Segura who previously worked for General Electric and Verisign in the Internet security space. Mr. Segura believes that this technology will be integrated with biometric and digital certificates, to quickly become the corporate standard for desktop security. "Everyone is working on network and Internet security, but we believe data security begins at the individual's desktop."

The company currently provides seven different versions of its core product based upon the security requirements of the customer. The software is a thin client (small amount of code) that is extremely easy to install and operate. Turning your computer into an information kiosk is an extremely useful byproduct "Users quickly discover that the concept is really cool!" MyDeskLock expects the kiosk capability to be very attractive to corporate marketing and training departments; providing an added bonus to deploy enterprise wide desktop security. Best of all the product is relatively inexpensive-- "Our intent is to make desktop security very affordable for every business."
