Accomplished, hard-working BULLETS OF ORANGE sign an innovative and intelligent deal with 33rd Street Records and prepare for the national release of their self-titled debut on January 28.

NASHVILLE, TENN...10/24/02...After several months of heavy touring, playing shows from Atlanta to New York City in renowned venues such as the Mercury Lounge and garnering impressively rapid CMJ chart success, alternative rock band Bullets of Orange sign with Larkspur, California-based 33rd Street Records and prepare to nationally release their self-titled album on January 28, 2003.

Bullets of Orange, consisting of singer/guitarist Quinlan, keyboardist Byron Hagan, guitarist Steven Boone, bassist James Gregory, and drummer Ben Phillips, were led by respected industry veteran Morty Wiggins (former A&M/Bill Graham Presents executive) to the innovative 33rd Street Records, an artist friendly label that allows creative control of music and freedom to direct their own career while also having financial support and distribution in all Tower Records stores.

"33rd Street is excited to welcome Bullets of Orange to the label. We're looking forward to releasing the band's album in early 2003," says Director Toby Clainos. "Bullets of Orange's relentless touring and compelling collection of songs will mesh nicely with 33rd Street's strengths as a retail-oriented, artist-friendly record label."

Officially a marketing and distribution deal, tour support and matched marketing funds will be given by 33rd Street. This deal is designed to enable artists to broaden their capabilities and become more of an asset without signing encumbering contracts or having high recoupables. This liberal deal is perfect for a liberal band like Bullets of Orange, who have talked with several major labels but chose to focus predominately on working through their own initiative and and business knowledge until the perfect opportunity arises.

"We've got the opportunity to become a national presence now, and we're going to take full advantage of it," says Byron Hagan. "33rd Street has designed this deal to benefit hard working, enterprising young bands, and that's exactly what we are."

Singer Quinlan agrees. "This is a God-given chance for a band like us. We set out to carve our own path in the industry and not be dictated by visionless record executives who are afraid to pull the trigger on music that doesn't fit into their preconcieved little boxes. Now we've got a partner. We couldn't be more excited!"

The album will be released nationally at a special discovery price of $9.99 in all Tower Records stores and also in the Tower listening stations.

Bullets of Orange came together three years ago after realizing an undeniable chemistry in their songwriting and burning passion for music full of truth and meaning.
