NetResults Corporation Launches ProblemTracker Enterprise Edition

NetResults Corporation announced the availability of ProblemTracker Enterprise Edition (PTEE), an enterprise version of the ProblemTracker collaboration tool. ProblemTracker is a Web-based collaboration tool that helps companies keep track of business issues and automatically manage them to resolution. ProblemTracker offers tracking, workflow, process enforcement, status, communication, and accountability. ProblemTracker Enterprise Edition includes all of the features of the recently released ProblemTracker 5.0 product as well as two new advanced features for enterprise collaboration: Alerts & Escalations, and Discussions.

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) November 7, 2002 - NetResults Corporation announced today the immediate availability of ProblemTracker Enterprise Edition (PTEE), an enterprise version of the ProblemTracker collaboration tool.

ProblemTracker is a Web-based collaboration tool that helps companies keep track of business issues and automatically manage them to resolution. ProblemTracker offers tracking, workflow, process enforcement, status, communication, and accountability. These functionalities are provided through user customizable features such as issue/bug/defect database, dependent nested fields, automated workflow, metrics, attachments, email notification, external customer support, query and reporting, charts and graphs, and document version control system integration.

ProblemTracker Enterprise Edition includes all of the features of the recently released ProblemTracker 5.0 product as well as two new advanced features for enterprise collaboration: Alerts & Escalations, and Discussions.

Alerts & Escalations: If an issue has not been addressed by a specified date and time, an alert can be sent to the appropriate set of people to get the issue resolved. Alerts can be used as reminders that an item is past due, as escalations to get higher priority handling for an item, or as a warning that an item is at risk of not being completed within a designated time limit. This allows those who are responsible for large numbers of issues to use PTEE to automatically manage by exception -- issues that don't get addressed in a timely manner will automatically trigger an alert. A wide range of options to configure Alerts are provided such as: absolute alert dates, relative alert dates (relative to other date/time fields such as a due date or release date for an item), repetition frequency (how often to keep sending an alert until an action is taken), repetition count (maximum number of alerts to send), and notification recipient list.

Discussions: Users can create and participate in multiple discussion threads for each issue. Anytime consultation or review by multiple people is required to resolve an issue, a new discussion thread can be started and the appropriate individuals invited to participate through PTEE. Each participant can review the discussion to date and provide advice or approval at a time and from a location that is convenient for the participant. Users can thus share information and knowledge, and conduct meetings without having to be at the same place at the same time. And, since the full discussion is stored with the original issue, new team members can easily get up to speed on all possible solutions that were explored, including those that were proposed and rejected. PTEE includes many features to moderate and customize use of Discussions such as the ability to: select and adjust the participants in a discussion, configure notification options for each participant, subscribe and unsubscribe, and assign privileges for the use of various Discussions operations.

PTEE is designed for use by enterprises with worldwide operations. With its support for concurrent use of multiple languages and multiple time zones as well as the new Alerts & Escalations and Discussions features, PTEE is ready for global deployment.
